Hi, I’m Ambika. Welcome to my corner of the world.

This blog began as a passion project inspired by my namesake, Amba Maa, who taught me to embrace everything life has to offer and honor the stories of the people I meet. Her wisdom, along with the guidance of my mother, sisters, and other incredible women in my life, continues to shape the way I see the world.

Recently, I moved from my childhood home in sunny Southern California, up to the Pacific Northwest. It’s definitely a change of pace, but I’m always learning, always growing. My journey has also been deeply influenced by my family’s roots in Kenya and Uganda, as well as my experience as an Indian-American living around different cultural spaces.

I’m all about making connections—whether that’s with people, causes, or the great outdoors! Through Ganges Gal, you’ll find me diving into everything from nature adventures and social justice, to disability advocacy and the wild ride of self-growth. I’m obsessed with learning new things, from what makes a perfect loaf of bread, how to garden, cook new meals, and ways to get involved in my community. And if there’s a mountain to climb, a trail to wander, or a sunset to catch, you can bet I’m there.

This space is more than a blog; it’s a living document of my journey. From personal stories to musings on the always-changing world we share, I hope this space invites you to reflect, connect, and grow alongside me.

Thanks for being here. Let’s see where this adventure takes us!
